It was late on that first Saturday, after hanging out with some friends, while walking on our way to another dorm, that I had one of the guys I had barely met an hour before, drag me aside from the group, right in front of lower and asked me to kiss him. It had barely been a week since I had decided I was going to keep myself from boys – an hour after I had met him. I pushed him away and ran back to my friends. I couldn’t believe it! Not only did the guy prove he was a total sleazeball, but the lack of outrage from anyone I have told this story to shows how us girls have allowed ourselves to be seen as common commodities. The guy thought a few brief sentences we had exchanged, a few drinks later, would be all it would take to make me kiss him.
