Senate passes health insurance reform bill
By Gaveliers, The Gavel Media Team, on December 24, 2009 1:37 PMOn Thursday morning, the Senate passed the historic health insurance reform bill. The vote was 60 – 39, which was along party lines.
The bill will now be merged with the one the House passed earlier this year, and that bill will go to President Barack Obama early next year. Democrats hope the final bill will be ready for Obama’s signature before his State of the Union address.
