Marquette University took back an offer for the position of dean of their College of Arts & Sciences from Jodi O’Brien, a professor of sociology at Seattle University, who is a lesbian.Some believe that this was due to her academic research on homosexuality and gay-Christian identity, according to The Marquette Tribune.
