I would say let’s talk about who we think the mother is this week, but we still have no further clues about that. It’s getting a tad ridiculous and I’m hoping that they’re building up to some big revelation in an episode that is yet to come. We shall see.
In other news, Marshall might become a judge. I love when a character’s future in a show perfectly pans out and I think Marshall becoming a judge definitely suits him. The justices say it could take months before he finds out if they appoint him and I’m hoping we get at least one more piece of information about the mother before they decide. But these are high hopes. Sigh.
On a side note, I really appreciated Marshall’s corny jokes to the justices (“Those robes really do you all justice…”). I can’t lie; I’m all about the corny jokes. A+, Marshall.
Let’s move on to Brad. I’m liking him more and more and I’m pumped that he took a job at Marshall’s firm because hopefully that means he’s here to stay for a while. He’s got a great sense of humor and great assets and knows how to use both, what’s not to like? If keeping him on the show is an attempt to bring in “True Blood” fanatics, let me just say that it’s probably working.
Lily, Ted, Robin and Barney didn’t do much this episode, except support Marshall in his trial like the true friends they are. Oh, and try to convince each other that they were hardcore in their youth. For Ted, this is obviously a stretch so when he reveals his story is a lie, I’m sure no one claims surprise. Barney’s story is also kind of a stretch in my opinion so that’s not too shocking either. However, Lily I can believe because she was a super creepy goth girl in high school. They really played up the white face powder on her. Freaky.
Robin obviously wasn’t too hardcore because she was Robin Sparkles, which brings me to my next point: when is Robin Sparkles going to release a new song? Seriously, she hadn’t made an appearance for a little while until this episode and it was way to brief for my taste. Another disclosing of a Robin Sparkles song would be much appreciated, at least for me.

Barney and Robin once again do their tugging-at-the-heart-strings-and-can’t-follow-through-on-their-love game. I’m not going to continue to waste characters by writing about this because we know what happens in the end.
That’s all for this week, tune in Monday on CBS at 8 p.m. for Episode 9!
