St. Patrick’s Day is truly a holiday like none other at BC. No other city has more of an excuse to celebrate than Boston with its high Irish population, so let’s get ready to celebrate! Here are some of our favorite parts of St. Paddy’s Day:

.Unlike the need to have creative and original Halloween costumes or search the thrift store racks for old Christmas sweaters, St. Paddy’s Day is one of those holidays that makes it easy on us broke college kids. Just browse through your closet (or even your friends’ closets) to find anything green that will get you into that St. Paddy’s day Mod party.

.If you don’t want to participate in the party scene on St. Paddy’s day and are instead looking for a more wholesome celebration, we are in Boston. And Boston loves St. Paddy’s day. Attend the parade or run a 5k!

.St. Paddy’s Day is on Sunday. Have you been waiting to find an excuse to party all weekend long following a week of midterms and papers? Well here it is: Good old St. Patrick would be disappointed if we didn’t celebrate ON his feast day as well as on those leading up to it.

.Whether you grew up celebrating St. Paddy’s Day or not, being at BC for this Irish holiday welcomes you into the annual celebration that you will no longer be able to skip.

.St. Paddy’s day is one of the few holidays for which students can appropriately stay on campus and party with friends rather than returning home for family times. Enjoy it!
