Job searching in the age of social media #GozaikAtBC

Just when college students thought it was impossible to find a job, Gozaik stepped in and created a Twitter-based resume to help.

gavel3As "the resume that works for you," Gozaik helps job searchers tailor themselves to employers. It has users type in a city and a skill then finds  job openings in the area.

From its website Gozaik claims they are "job searching in the age of social media." In a time where people are constantly wired, this startup brings new outlets for young job searchers. Applicants are told to send resumes consistently, and now they can.

If you love to tweet and want a job, Gozaik is holding a workshop in Walsh's 8th floor study lounge Thursday at 6:00 p.m. In a Twitter correspondence Gozaik founder Joe Budzienski tweeted he wanted Boston College students to leave the lecture with the message, "that someone is listening, sees the problems you face in your job search and plans to do something about it. #onedayatatime."

Also, did we mention they're hiring? According to the Facebook event:

"All attendees who create a Gozaik profile can tweet their new profile to @Gozaik with the unique hashtag #GozaikAtBC. From these profiles, Gozaik will be looking to hire one of you as an intern!"

Do you want an internship and valuable work experience? Yes? Thought so.

Respond to the event, visit Gozaik at gozaik.com, or follow them on Twitter @Gozaik for the company and @Gozaik1 for Joe Budizenski.
