The annual Student Activities Fair took place on Linden Lane and in O'Neill Plaza on Friday. We stopped by a few tables and asked:
Why are you involved?

"We think it's really important to share Brazilian culture with everyone here since a lot of people don't really know what it's about. It's also a chance to meet lots of new Brazilian and International students!"
--Brazilian Club

WZBC, Boston College radio station

"We're involved because our parents are Taiwanese. It's a chance for freshmen to experience different cultures on campus and see what it means to be a part of Taiwanese culture."
--Taiwanese Culture Club

"We hope freshmen can conduct with upperclassmen and have a support system while learning about other Chinese cultures since we throw a lot of events with other Asian groups on campus."
--Chinese Culture Club

"We have events that promote Caribbean culture and we hope people learn something new about it. We want to create a community where people can feel at home."
--Caribbean Culture Club

"Liturgy is important to the Christian faith. This is a place that is supportive to those who want to sing at mass but also is a supportive faith community to help maintain your faith in the college environment."
--Liturgy Arts Group

"Arrupe gives you a desire to foster a more loving community on campus and to learn more about global justice and its impact on the world."

--Muslim Student Association

"The best part about Fuego is that we like to promote family. We are more than just a dance group. We give freshmen an opportunity to be a part of something bigger with people who will look after them."
--Fuego del Corazon, BC's Latin Dance Group

"Fleabag is America's oldest collegiate improv group. Auditions are fun since it's all about meeting new people and laughing."

"We all know how daunting it is to be a freshman coming into BC. We believe that everyone has a every right to sing so our auditions are rather laid-back and we hope to create an environment that's conducive to getting assimilated into BC."
