About Us
The best male talent from Boston College has been culled from a series of pageants. Only the best two contestants from each class remain, and the finalists will compete this Thursday night, April 23, in The Heights Room at 7:30 p.m.
The event will be hosted by Jenna Post, A&S ’17, a member of BC’s Improv group, My Mother’s Fleabag, and Dan Casey, A&S ’17, a member of BC’s Sketch Comedy group, Hello… Shovelhead. Chloe Mansour, LSOE ’17, a member of the Bostonians, will be singing at the event hosted by the Residential Hall Association (RHA).
As the contestants don their best swimsuit and present one of their many talents, the Mr. BC all-male beauty pageant is sure to be a night of laughs, and may even include some dating advice from judge Kerry Cronin. Before you attend the event, take a few minutes to get acquainted with the candidates, so you can cheer on your favorite this Thursday!
Seniors:
Pat Genovese

Justice Fleischmann

What's your dream job? “Stay at home dad while also substitute Biology teacher”
Describe your style. “I wear what I want. Some days I go all black. Fridays I wear Hawaiian’s. Other days, I’m relaxed….I also try to go barefoot as often as possible.”
What is your favorite candle scent? “Douglas Fir.”
Which BC dining food are you and why? “If I were a BC dining food I would be Chocolate Chip Waffle. Once you realize you have all the ingredients to make it, you just can't stop.”
Sophomores:
Marshall Pontrelli

What is your favorite candle scent? “Candy scent: Snickers. Because Almond Joys, Pay Days and Heath Bars are f***ing terrible.”
Which BC dining food are you and why? “I am the cheese tray because people desire my milky goodness.”
Brad Bitzer

What's your dream job? “If I was good at cooking (which I’m not), I think a baker could be a really fun job”

What is your favorite candle scent? “My mom has this one candle that smells like gingerbread, and it is easily the greatest smell in the entire world.”
Which BC dining food are you and why? “The Noodle Bar 'cause I’m definitely worth the wait.”
Freshmen:
Matthew Nolan

Boxers or briefs? “Boxer briefs. I love having all of the freedom that boxers provide, but with all of the support that briefs offer.”
What's your dream job? “Writer for a TV comedy show.”
Describe your style. “Whatever sweatpants and Under Armour T-shirt I threw on running out the door to my 9 a.m.”
What is your favorite candle scent? “Fresh Cut Lawn. It reminds me of playing baseball but is also strong enough to cover the scent of my roommates giant dirty laundry pile.”
Which BC dining food are you and why? “The BC Burger because I'm always around. 3 in the afternoon on a Tuesday? Hello I'm right here. 1:30 a.m. on a Saturday night, BAM I'm available.”
Mark Mako Zawadiwsky
School: A&S
Current housing: Duchesne West
Three desert island movies: Interstellar, GoodFellas and The Rock
Boxers or briefs? “Briefs—100%. It's all about the mobility.”
What's your dream job? “A superspy turned astronaut who eventually explores the galaxy and discovers alien life then returns to Earth to write, direct, and star in a movie about his voyage, winning an Oscar for best picture and director. But I mean I'll be realistic... I'll settle for just one Oscar. Then afterwards I’d like to become an archeologist and search for lost treasures just like Indiana Jones, using the money I made from the movie as funding for my expeditions.”
Describe your style. “My style? It's always on point.”
What is your favorite candle scent? “Vanilla. You can't beat a classic.”
Which BC dining food are you and why? “I'm a burrito made by the legendary Stuart Dining King Louis—they're always packed with everything– sometimes a little spicy while other times a little crispy—and every time it's always just a little different, but it still packs a mean punch!”
