BCPD Says Vandalized Stokes Hall Bathroom "Poses No Threat" to Campus Security

The Boston College Police Department has given the all-clear after a BC student found threatening graffiti in a Stokes Hall women's bathroom earlier this evening.

A student reported the graffiti Monday night. It reads "BC is next," accompanied by a crude drawing of a bomb in black permanent marker. BCPD responded immediately and, after assessing the situation, determined that the threat was not credible.

"BCPD has determined that the drawing found in the women's room on the first floor of Stokes Hall Monday evening was vandalism and posed no threat to the BC community," Director of Public Affairs, Jack Dunn, said in a statement Monday night.

On Monday afternoon, Harvard University evacuated four of its buildings and Harvard Yard after "unconfirmed bomb threats" were sent to the school via email. Several other Massachusetts high schools and colleges were evacuated Monday as a result of bomb threats.

Dunn said that BCPD has closed its investigation.

Born in New York, from Philadelphia, but meant to live in New England.
