CAB announces Chainsmokers for Plexapalooza

The Campus Activities Board (CAB) has announced that DJ duo The Chainsmokers will headline next semester’s Plexapalooza on January 29, 2016 at 8:30 p.m. in the Plex. The Chainsmokers are best known for their eccentric EDM sound, featuring hits "Roses" and "Until You Were Gone," and countless remixes on pop music favorites.

Tickets will be on sale after winter break, though CAB has not yet disclosed the exact release date. Make sure to look out for ticket sales via Robsham Theater and take a #Selfie while you dance the night away in the Plex.

"We work as a team to try to bring the best acts and performers to campus for BC students," says Christina Cocce, CSOM '16, CAB's president. "It takes a lot of work to program and pull off such a large scale event, and the students involved in CAB spend countless hours trying to do the best they can for the student body."

Though it was only established two years ago, CAB continues to bring the student body great programming that caters to what students actually want to do. The organization did not have a fall concert like past years, but is bent on pulling in great acts this coming semester.

"The absence of a fall concert was actually not for a larger spring semester concert run. The absence was due to high costs and problems with date availability," Cocce said. "But the students in CAB just worked really hard to get a great artist for Plexapalooza!"

The CAB team is looking forward to the spring 2016 semester, beside the group's two major concert events, Plexapalooza and Modstock, Cocce says that CAB plans to host 40 events next semester.

Students can keep up with CAB by following them on Facebook.
