Football Headed to Detroit for Quick Lane Bowl

Boston College will head to Detroit to take on Maryland in the Quick Lane Bowl on December 26.

With a win against Wake Forest in their final game of the season, the Eagles became bowl eligible by boasting a 6-6 record. Following a dismal 2015-2016 season, in which they were winless in ACC play, the Eagles stepped up to the plate to achieve their bowl goals.

This season, the team suffered some big losses against opponents such as Florida State, Virginia Tech and Clemson, losing by a combined score 150-17. Despite the outcome against the ACC powerhouses, BC took the necessary steps to put itself in the position of bowl eligibility.

This will be the third bowl that the Eagles will play in under coach Steve Addazio. Last time BC made a bowl appearance was in the 2014-15 season, taking on Penn State in the Pinstripe Bowl. Not many have forgotten the missed extra point that led to the heartbreaking 31-30 OT loss that has cast a great shadow over the team—and its kicking unit—for the last two seasons.

The game will be played at Ford Field on December 26 at 2:30 p.m. EST and will be broadcasted on ESPN.

Too pale for people to actually believe that I’m from Florida. Can rap Nicki Minaj's Super Bass in its entirety. Leslie Knope is my hero. Breakfast is the only meal that matters.
