Hometown: Rye, NY

Position: Midfield/Forward

The Big Move: Originally from Amsterdam, Govaert and her family moved to the United States just prior to her freshman year of high school.

High School Stats: In her four-year career at Rye High School, Govaert totaled an impressive 133 goals and 66 assists.

Awards and Accomplishments: 2016 First Team All-American as a senior.  2015 Third Team All-American as a junior.  Four-time All-New York State.  Invited to the U.S. under-19 women’s national team tryout.

Education: Enrolled in the Morrissey College of Arts & Sciences

Strong Start: After 10 games, the freshman phenom is second on the team in both goals (4) and points (7).

Gaining Confidence: After coming off the bench in her first seven collegiate games, Govaert has started the last three.  She scored in two of those three games, and totaled four points, validating her coach’s decision.
