Position: Defensive Back

Step Up: After playing in only four games as a freshman, Denis worked his way up to becoming a starter in his sophomore season, making his first career start at Florida State on November 11, 2016.

Make Your Mark: Denis delivered against No. 2 Clemson on September 23, 2017, amassing a career-high 13 tackles and a forced fumble.

Awards and Accomplishments: As a junior, Denis was named a Walter Camp Football Foundation Second Team All-American. He was also selected to the All-ACC Second Team.

Take It Away: In the 2017 season, Denis was tied for second nationally with seven interceptions, as well as ranked 17th nationally with 10 pass breakups.

Versatility is Key: After the 2016 season, Denis made the switch from cornerback to free safety, proving his adaptability on the field.

Not Just an Athlete: Denis is a general management major in the Carroll School of Management and a recipient of the Robert S. Boova ’73 Family Scholarship Fund.
