Take 10: Defensive End Wyatt Ray

Hometown: Boca Raton, FL

Roster Number: 11

Position: Defensive End

Flying High: Ray recently set a Boston College record and a career high at the Wake Forest game on Sept. 13 with four sacks and eight tackles, tying for the national lead in sacks.

Awards and Accomplishments: After his performance in the Wake Forest game, Ray was named the ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week and the Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week. The Walter Camp award was won by A.J. Dillon last year after his performance at Louisville.

High School Stats: Ray has been a star throughout his football career, earning All-State Class 7A first team honors and recording 70 tackles in his senior season.

Beyond the Field: When he is not setting records on the field, Ray is tackling the books as an applied psychology and human development major in the Lynch School of Education.

Sophomore Strong: In the victory against Maryland in the 2016 Quick Lane Bowl, Ray was a part of the defensive line that was awarded bowl MVP.

Consistency is Key: Ray has been a solid player in his past three seasons here at BC, playing in every home and away game.
