YDSA Calls for Robert Kraft's Removal From Board Seat

The Young Democratic Socialists of Boston College issued a statement Monday night calling for the removal of Patriots owner Robert Kraft from the Board of Trustees.

Kraft serves as a Trustee Associate. He also sits on the Carroll School of Management's Board of Governors.

"Kraft's solicitation of prostitution from an establishment alleged to be part of a sex trafficking operation makes it clear he can no longer serve on the board or be associated with the university in any way," the statement reads.

The Boston sports giant is under public scrutiny after soliciting prostitution from a spa in Jupiter, Florida twice in January. Video footage from massage rooms at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa revealed a man fitting Kraft's description being masturbated by female employees. One instance occurred the morning of the AFC Championship game.

It was later revealed that the employees at the spa were victims of human trafficking who were living there full-time. Police found beds and a refrigerator in the spa's back room. The spa was busted as part of a larger investigation into human trafficking in Florida, which is expected to bring charges against 200-300 owners and customers.

"Either Kraft or the school's claim that it adheres to a set of Jesuit Catholic values must go," YDSA wrote.

The mogul also owns the New England Revolution and Gillette Stadium via his Kraft Group.
