Take Ten: Zay Flowers

True freshman Zay Flowers has planted himself into the Boston College football scene, proving his readiness to take the team to the next level. Learn a little more about the Florida native taking BC by storm.

Class: Freshman 

Hometown: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Roster Number: 4

Position: Wide receiver

Education: The true freshman is currently enrolled in the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences.

Starting Strong: In the first two games of his college career, Flowers got the Eagles their first touchdown of the season against Virginia Tech and racked up 92 rushing yards against Richmond.

High School Star: Flowers left the field strong senior year with 38 receptions and eight touchdowns.

A Wanted Man: Flowers received 22 college offers, including Syracuse, Purdue, Pittsburgh, and the University of Connecticut. On Dec. 15, 2018, Flowers officially committed to soaring as an Eagle.

Double Threat: Before deciding to play college football, Flowers also displayed his athletic prowess on the basketball court in high school. 

Real Football Savvy: Coach Steve Addazio referred to Flowers in a weekly press conference as “a young guy scratching the surface” with a “combination of unbelievable speed, quickness, and ball skills.”
