Take Ten: Spencer Knight

Freshman Spencer Knight has played a dominant role in Boston College men's hockey's success, making some incredible saves on the ice. Read below to learn more about the NHL draft pick who has taken BC by storm.

Class: Freshman 

Hometown: Darien, Connecticut  

Roster Number: 30

Position: Goalie  

Off the Ice: Knight enjoys playing golf and fishing.

Before BC: He was a member of the Team USA’s silver medal team at the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship. Knight posted an incredible record, going 32-4-0 in net for the U.S. Under-18 National Team throughout their 2018-2019 season.

Education: Spencer is enrolled in the Carroll School of Management.  

Big Future: He is the 10th American goaltender ever to be drafted in the first round, and was selected by the Florida Panthers (13th overall) in the 2019 NHL Draft.

Athlete for Athlete: Other than playing hockey, Knight has really enjoyed the football tailgates and going to games. 

Pregame Pump-up: To get in the game mindset, Knight likes listening to the hockey team’s playlist that consists of rap and techno music.
