Highschool Hero: As a four-year starter in highschool, Castellanos consistently led his team to victory. In his junior year, Castellanos was named first team all-state at quarterback after supporting his team through a superb 10-2 season. He was listed as a three-star prospect and named to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution’s Super 11 team. 

Before BC: Castellanos received offers from schools including Kansas, Coastal Carolina, and Florida Atlantic. Castellanos shared he also received an offer from FSU, but ultimately committed to UCF for the chance to play quarterback. Castellanos played at UCF for one year before entering the transfer portal and committing to BC. 

Multi-sport athlete: In highschool, Castellanos played basketball and track and field. 

True Eagle: Castellanos is the recipient of the King Family Football Scholarship Fund.

Season So Far: Castellanos was the backup to starting quarterback Emmett Moorehead at the beginning of the season. Partway into BC’s first game against Northern Illinois, Castellanos replaced Moorehead and helped the team make a considerable combecak before ultimately losing in overtime. After this game, Castellanos was named starting quarterback and has helped the team secure success over Holy Cross and a near upset of FSU.
