April has certainly brought its host of showers to Boston College. Yet most students will only have 10 days to enjoy May’s flowers. The Class of 2028’s future looks bright, as they are about to conclude their first year, while the Class of 2025 faces true adulthood and all the trials that come with it after their well-deserved graduation.
After barely holding on to the last weeks of winter, the Taurus season quickly approaches with its first day starting on Easter Sunday. Taurus, ruled by Venus, brings stability, sensuality, and pleasure to the second half of April, a stark contrast to the first half of the month, impacted by Aries’s fiery boldness and confidence, ruled by Mars. Everyone this month can look forward to spring (and the weather!) settling down for our last month of the 2025 Spring Semester.
Venus affects each sign differently, so look for your sun sign in the upcoming paragraphs to find some guidance and advice for the next couple of weeks. To find your sun sign, look for your birthday in the following dates! If you want to check your moon and rising signs, Snapchat provides both, which change periodically.
Take what you need from these predictions and leave what does not resonate with you!
♈Aries (March 21 through April 19)
After a few particularly tumultuous weeks ruled by Mars, you aren’t quite ready to settle down into this shift into Venus. You will find yourself acting rashly compared to your friends, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Remember to protect the people close to you and find it within yourself to apologize when your anger gets the best of you. Friendships are more important than being right.
♉Taurus (April 20 through May 20)
Take these spring days to reflect on your future goals. Clarity of thought will come to you through Venus and potentially allow you to figure out some tough questions that you have recently been asking yourself. Don’t be afraid to try something new! You feel comfortable this month, but do not let that hold you back from new experiences.
♊Gemini (May 21 through June 20)
Mercury’s retrograde is hitting Geminis particularly hard. You have experienced several surprises this month. Minor hiccups, like being unable to immediately connect to eduroam or select any of your desired classes during the course selection process, may have been frustrating. As your season comes to a close, take time for yourself.
♋Cancer (June 21 through July 22)
April brings important decisions for Cancers. Be sure to listen to both your head and your heart. Seemingly small decisions could have enormous ramifications. However, once you make your choice, stick to it. Being indecisive could have worse consequences than making the wrong choice.
♌Leo (July 23 through August 22)
You’ve stayed absolutely locked in all Fall and Spring semester, and you only have a few more weeks to go! Work outside and perhaps take a stroll around the Res to recenter yourself when you start studying for your finals. Don’t be afraid to ask for help; just because you’ve been successful on your own doesn’t mean that you always have to fly solo. Invite a friend on your Res walk, and you might just end up with a lifelong connection.
♍Virgo (August 23 through September 22)
Remember to hydrate yourself after being active this month. You need to fuel yourself to do well during Mudstock! Don’t be afraid to rest or skip a day in the gym if your body needs it. Sometimes your body needs to recover from working as hard as you do. If you feel the need to be active, consider low-impact activities, such as Yoga at the Plex, instead of intense ones.
♎Libra (September 23 through October 22)
The gentleness of Venus’s rule amplifies your already stable nature. As a result, take a step out of your comfort zone. Your routine has provided you with comfort throughout the winter months, but spring brings a new light, and because of this, your routine might be constraining you. Try a new exercise class in the Plex to center yourself and shake up your schedule!
♏Scorpio (October 23 through November 21)
Although you thrive in high-stress situations, take April as a time to prepare for the upcoming summer months. Be prepared for old relationships to resurface, and don’t be your usual cynical self before setting them aside; they might be beneficial and provide some much-needed stability in your life.
♐Sagittarius (November 22 through December 21)
Those study groups you are a part of are greatly benefiting from your expertise in your classes, but be sure not to come across as a know-it-all. Take some time to reflect on others’ contributions to that final group project and provide support when either asked or needed. You’re in the final stretch of the Spring semester, and you can take a breath of fresh air. You should take the scenic route to class occasionally.
♑Capricorn (December 22 through January 19)
Your prideful nature flourishes during Mercury’s retrograde, but during Venus’s rule, be sure to limit flashy displays of wealth. Maintain professional boundaries and strive to meet people halfway. Do not push too hard when faced with adversity; when the time comes, you will achieve your short-term goals, even if it’s in a way that differs from what you initially thought.
♒Aquarius (January 20 through February 18) In the coming weeks, be sure to strike a peaceful balance between your schoolwork and social life. The spring air and sun can be alluring, but finals are quickly approaching, and the sun can look particularly beautiful shining through the stained glass windows of Bapst Library.
♓Pisces (February 19 through March 20)
Surprisingly, your month has led to new discoveries within yourself. Whether that involves a change in career goals or a more social shift, you’ve reevaluated your life and are now on a different path. You may not see it at this moment, but you have made a choice that will affect you for the next couple of months. Be kind to yourself during this change; change takes time, and you have ample amounts of it.
