The Boston College Eagles defeated the Virginia Tech Hokies 35-28 at home in their season opener on Saturday afternoon.

BC took two of three from the Hokies, leaving Blacksburg with a series win and a season record now over .500.

On a weekend that saw BC celebrate Senior Day and play their annual ALS Awareness game, Virginia Tech dominated the Eagles at home.

The Eagles were unable to keep up with the Hokies' defensive pressure and lightning pace for 40 minutes, falling to 9-4 on the season.
